What a delight to speak this weekend to the 1,000+ people who attended the ReMind Conference in Hudson, Ohio, and to spend time in dialogue with my colleague Sanj Kalra and our friend Lecrae. It was also a blessing to hear my other teammates who spoke so powerfully. This conference has been a wonderful time of connecting the head to the heart as we strive to minister to the whole person while addressing key questions and challenges to the Christian worldview.
Thank you to all who gave us a hearing, and thanks to those who worked so hard behind the scenes and especially to Christ Community Chapel for graciously hosting this event. God worked powerfully in our midst. Our hearts are full of gratitude.
A highlight of the weekend for me was attending Lecrae’s concert on Friday night, where I had a front row seat for his presentation and performance. In my estimation, Lecrae is one of the finest communicators on the “Roman Road” and in the “Greek language” of today. When you know the story of the context in which he was cradled and see the extraordinary gifts he has – in a dynamic but gentle personality – God has shaped a winsome instrument across cultural and ethnic boundaries.
Lecrae may well be one of the most influential Christian personalities of our time. I am honored to call him a friend and grateful to partner in ways that have just begun. We look forward to working together here and overseas to take the beautiful message of the gospel in apologetic strength and musical artistry—we shall await and see what our Lord has in store with this combination.
Thank you to all who prayed for us and participated in ReMind this weekend… and thank you, Lecrae, for how you have touched our lives.
